16 intro songs MLB players should definitely walk out to

As a kid, I loved professional wrestling specifically for the intro songs (The Undertaker’s “Rest in Peace” still strikes terror into my heart to this day and I wasn’t even the one that had to wrestle the guy). So it’s no wonder that the intro song maintained it’s honored place in my heart as I moved through the levels of professional baseball. Being able to one day choose my own walk out was one of the most vivid parts of my Major League dreams and I am proud to say that that day did eventually come. I’ve even gotten the pleasure of suggesting songs to my teammates over the years (Taylor Roger’s “The Chain” by Fleetwood Mac? All me baby.)

With all of that said, I’ve decided to start an annual series where I suggest a handful of tracks for my hitter and reliever brethren to choose from. The following are some tunes I’d like to see SOMEONE choose in the Major Leagues in 2026.

Relievers

Welcome Home - Coheed & Cambria - 0:00

Full disclosure, this was my song for the vast majority of my career and I want someone to keep carrying the torch. Better yet, if it ends up being a Met, they will receive the full backing of Josh Eppard, Coheed & Cambria’s drummer, who just so happens to be a huge fan. The opening rift is prime jogging on material.
